The film stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj. It follows the assassin Rocky, who, after establishing himself as the kingpin of the Kolar Gold Fields, must retain his supremacy against adversaries and government officials, while also coming to terms with his past.
Delivered on a tight spending plan of ₹100 crore (US$13 million), K.G.F: Chapter 2 is the most costly Kannada film. Neel held the experts from its ancestor with Bhuvan Gowda taking care of the cinematography and Ravi Basrur scoring the music for the soundtrack and the film's experience. Dutt and Tandon joined the cast in mid 2019, denoting the previous' Kannada film debut. Parts of the film were shot consecutive with Chapter 1. Head photography for the other groupings started in March 2019, yet was ended in February 2020 attributable to the COVID-19 lockdown in India. Shooting continued five months after the fact and was finished in December 2020. Areas included Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mysore and Kolar.

Rough kills likely successor Virat and assumes responsibility as the head boss of Kolar Gold Fields (K.G.F), to the embarrassment of Guru Pandian, Andrews, Rajendra Desai and Kamal. Rough kidnaps Reena and kills Kamal. He gives requests to begin work in eight save mines. Rough's ascent to noticeable quality generates the consideration of CBI official Kanneganti Raghavan. A few focal pastors, exasperated with K.G.F, plan a no-certainty movement against the DYSS-upheld government to carry Ramika Sen to control. In the interim, Adheera, who was assumed dead, reemerges and kills all gatekeepers at a station. In a ploy to bring Rocky external K.G.F, Andrews kills Desai to draw Reena outside, and John catches Reena. Adheera shoots Rocky however doesn't kill him. Rough recovers however understands that Adheera's men have impeded all ways out.
Three years later in 1981, Ramika Sen wins the Indian general elections and becomes Prime Minister. After Raghavan briefs her about the situation in K.G.F, she closes all state borders and authorises various CBI officials to raid Rocky's warehouses. A young Ingalagi is caught spying by Rocky's henchmen, but Rocky is impressed by his integrity.
